It has been 15 years since the first time Casa Bavaria celebrated Oktoberfest in Puerto Rico. For this reason, this year in addition to commemorating the Bavarian festival that dates from 1810 in Germany, Casa Bavaria will be also celebrating the 15th anniversary of Oktoberfest in Puerto Rico, to be held in the mountains of Morovis, Puerto Rico, from October 6 to 23.
Casa Bavaria is a German Creole restaurant that lies at 2,105 feet high in the mountains of Morovis, in the center of Puerto Rico. With many open air tables and a great Mango tree as a centerpiece, you can enjoy the fresh country air and a spectacular view that reaches all the way to the northern coast of the island. The menu specializes in typical cuisine from the region of Bavaria in Germany, as well as specialties original of Puerto Rico. (www.casabavaria.com)
For this Oktoberfest, Casa Bavaria will be featuring the best culinary offerings from Germany, such as Bratwurst (German Sausage), the Schnitzel (pork leg cut, and breaded Roulade (Fillet of beef stuffed rolled in sauce), among others. Attendants will also be available to enjoy world-renowned, award-winning local beer Medalla Light and the new creation of the Puerto Rico Brewery, Premium Lager Magna, as well as the extensive variety of local, german and imported beers.
A band directly from Germany with typical music of the region of Bavaria, and Orquesta de Acordeones from Puerto Rico, as well as other local bands and renowned artists throughout Puerto Rico, will provide live entertainment during the three Oktoberfest weekends. Casa Bavaria opens only Thursdays to Sundays. For a detailed program about the different activities and bands playing per day, please visit Casa Bavaria’s webpage or contact 787-862-7818 for more information.
On the Highway 22, take exit #42 in the direction of Morovis (left at the traffic light). Continue on Expressway Tony Laureano (137) until the fifth light (only flashing one) where you must take a right. Follow this road (155) in the direction of Orocovis and you will find the restaurant on the left side at kilometer 38.3.
Note: There are many exits for the 155 road from the expressway, wait until the flashing light to take a right and you will avoid many curves.
Arrive early – Casa Bavaria gets really busy during weekends, especially during Oktoberfest and parking is limited.
