Do you think that to go green you have to put a lot of effort and hard earned money in to it? Are you worried that being green will take away your daily comforts? You do not have to become an environmental addict, nor join Green Peace, to help Mother nature. It is a matter of habit and routine. Just know that regardless how you live your life and what you do, the environmental issues are responsibilities of every one of us. By making small changes in you life and becoming more aware, not only do you help save the environment, but it can save your wallet too. You can use these tips, or start with just a couple. Find out that going green is easy. Anyone can do it.
This really is a matter of habit. You might be doing this already, but if not you will notice how much easier it is to manage you bills online. The truth is there is always a chance of getting hacked on you bill pay account, but the chance of your mail to get robbed is far much greater. Save and be safer.
Use glass instead of plastic
Buy your milk in glass bottles. The CRV is a bit higher on these, but you get that right back the next time you go to the shop. I also give a cleaner feel of consuming a produce that has not been waiting around in plastic for days.
Insulate your house
Living in Los Angeles there really are no excuses for having the heater on much at all. Maybe the air conditioner, but rarely the heater. However, for both heater and air conditioner, there are several green alternatives (e g solar power), but start by making sure your house is properly insulated. This will save enormous amounts of energy. Whether your thinking green or not, this will also save on your wallet.
Save on water
Again, living in Los Angeles, this is not just hype. This is a very real issue. You do your part in decreasing this problem. You do not need to stop showering (you’re not getting away that easy), but a simple action is to get a low-flow shower head.
Continue then on above issue, water conservation. Just as you can still have a shower, your car can get washed. There are car wash places in Los Angeles that use recycled water. Your car is not going to get sick from this water, and this does make a difference.
These are all small simple actions that can easily be done. In a city such as Los Angeles the population is very high and dense. The more people that take these small actions, the greater and better (and cleaner) the end result.
