The National Zoo is presenting a much-anticipated 13th annual October tradition “Boo at the Zoo” will take place rain or shine. Everyone, whether young or old, enjoys a truly spooktacular, safe, and imaginative Halloween Party. The only dates available are either October 21 (or) 23 (5: 30—8:30 p.m.)
A new treat for Zoo Boo guests this year-a complimentary reusable treat bag! Starbucks is located directly across from the Zoo on Connecticut Avenue. They are generously donating candy during Boo at the Zoo … hours; therefore, show your ‘Boo at the Zoo’ trick or treat bag to receive an extra treat.
Each Halloween, a group of the parent ghouls will gain their utmost joy from observing their youngsters sheer delight resulting from being a part of a dress-up party with lots of treats for families with children ages two to 12 to enjoy the zoo’s annual Halloween.
Halloween parties for families must strike a delicate balance between exciting enough for the older adolescents, but not too scary for the little ones; therefore, everyone would have a ghoulishly good time at the annual “Boo at the Zoo’s Halloween party.”
From more than 40 treat stations, delicious snack foods, Halloween candy,with other special treats are several scheduled events such as the animal encounters, keeper talks, and festive Halloween decorations are yours to enjoy
As at any good Halloween party, there will be great ways for kids to show off their boo-tiful Halloween costumes! Even though the party format is uncomplicated, there are a few ways to make the event stand out, so do not forget your cameras.

The National Zoo encourages you to take Metro to the Zoo. FONZ will provide a shuttle between the Zoo and the Woodley Park-Zoo/Adams Morgan Metro station every 20 minutes. Parking near the Zoo is very limited. Pedestrians may enter the Zoo through the Connecticut Avenue or Harvard Street entrances.
