Winning Stories >
On Sunday, NSW officials announced that a Port Macquarie woman will take home AUS $1,571,428.50 from Saturday Lotto. Upon receiving a call from lotto representatives, the mother of four children stated: “I’m so excited, this is so amazing. I’m sorry I can’t stop crying.”
The winner made the lucky purchase from Waniora 5-Star, Waniora Shopping Village in Port Macquarie. She shared Saturday Lotto’s $22 million jackpot with 13 other winners with each taking home the same amount: AUS $1.57 million.
The 40-something woman continued: “Honestly this could not come at a better time. We have been really struggling financially for a couple of years and now we can pay off our debts and live again. Perhaps we can extend the house or even buy a bigger one. I’m so amazed I can’t believe this is happening. How many times have I talked about what I’d do if I won Lotto and now I have.”
The winning numbers for Saturday Lotto’s $22 million draw are:
43 – 29 – 45 – 28 – 7 – 19
Supplementary: 24 – 27
She added: “I might organise a little holiday for us, I’ve never been to Melbourne Cup and I’ve always wanted to go. I could even buy a horse.” I’m going to call my husband and tell him straight away. I don’t know how he will react, he’ll probably cry too.”
