Hide your remotes, parents! Those animated idiots, “Beavis and Butt-head,” make a return to MTV today.
Back when they first hit the then-Music Channel in 1993, the dimwitted duo offered their own unique brand of commentary on hair band videos. These days they’ll take on Snooki.
But if you don’t want your kids to pick up charming words like “bunghole” and “cornholio,” “B and B” may not be for your household.
Back in 1993 the show was blamed after a five-year old started a deadly fire in Ohio. Creator Mike Judge later said that “Beavis and Butt-head” was never intended for five-year-olds.
“It seems that no matter how many times I say it’s adult animation, people think it’s for kids.” he said in 1996.
Of course, one famous viewer is psyched for the show’s return.
Tween heart throb Justin Beiber took to Twitter to tout the merits of “Beavis and Butt-head.” Seems JB can’t wait for its return, even though he was still in diapers when the show originally aired.
In the Philadelphia area, “Beavis and Butt-Head” will return to MTV on October 27.
