Boston Metro North covers the North Shore, Merrimack Valley and Northwest Suberbs:
5 Day Outlook: Precipitation quickly ends by early Friday morning as low pressure moves away from our area….High pressure makes a brief appearance Friday, with bright sunny skies, breezy and cool conditions….Another low pressure system could impact the area Saturday into Saturday night. The track of this storm will be critical in determining how much precipitation the area has and who gets snow, rain or a mix of both….Any precipitation we receive should end very early Sunday, with clearing skies and remaining chilly….A large high pressure system will take hold of our weather into Tuesday, with fair and seasonably cool weather.
It is early to determine any snowfall amounts from the Saturday event, but if there is measurable snow it will likley be inland, west of I-95, especially near and along the Route 495 communities from the Northwest Suberbs through the Merrimack valley. Several inches of snow could fall in those areas, with lesser amounts as you approach the coast.
Temperatures through the 5 day period remain below normal. Interior sections could very well see a freeze on Friday night, with patchy frost closer to the coast.
