5 Day Outlook: The fall like weather we were anticipating for this coming weekend is on temporary hold. A complex area of low pressure to our west will move slowly through New England in two phases…..The first low brings an unsettled day for Thursday. A brief period of nice weather returns on Friday before the next low pressure moves into the region by Saturday. A cold front will slowly move through over the later part of the weekend, bringing improving weather. High pressure early next week brings us back to a fall feel to the weather, with plenty of sunshine.
Tropical weather in the Atlantic still features Ophelia, which is now a tropical storm. She is expected to regain strength, possibly to category 1 status by Friday. Bermuda may be experiencing some wind and rain by later Saturday and Sunday, as Ophelia passes to the east of the island. Ophelia is expected to impact Newfoundland sometime early in the week.
