Each week during the high school sports season the Eastern Maine High School Sports Examiner and the Eastern Maine Sports Blog will announce a female and male athlete of the week. You can send your nominations to Marc @ [email protected] When you send your nominations include the athlete, name of the school, stats for the week of the nomination. The male and female winner will each receive a t shirt.

Fall season- Week 4- September 23rd- September 29th
Male
Brad Wilcox- Bangor Christian (Soccer)- Scored four goals in 4-1 victory over Katahdin. Scored five goals in 7-2 victory over Machias.
Runner up-Jordan Whitney- Mt. Blue (Football)- Threw for 210 yards passing and two touchdowns on 13-23 passing in 43-26 victory over Gardiner. He also Ran for two touchdowns and rushed for an additional 45 yards.
Nominations
Dan Rivers- Old Town (Football) – Rushed for 212 yards and two touchdowns in 48-22 victory over Nokomis. Rivers also had eight tackles in the victory. This is the third straight game that Rivers went over 200 yards rushing.
Sam Dexter- Messalonskee (Football)- Rushed for 171 yards and three touchdowns on six carries in 50-6 victory over Oxford Hills.
Nick Stevens- Hampden (Football)- Scored four touchdowns in 58-8 victory over Belfast.
Tyler Barnes- Old Town (Football)- Rushed for 124 yards and three touchdowns on 18 carries in 48-22 victory over Nokomis. Also had 12 tackles in the first victory of the year for the Coyotes.
Ryan Rebar- Foxcroft (Football)-Returned a punt for a 71 yard touchdown and caught a 29 yard pass for another touchdown in a 31-6 victory over Stearns.
Dan Good- Hampden (Soccer)- Scored two goals and had one assist in 7-0 victory over Cony.
Jordon Denley- Woodland (Soccer)- Scored three goals in 4-2 victory over Machias.
Dominic Mowrer- Orono- (Football)- Had 184 yards and three touchdowns on nine carries in a 61-14 victory over Dexter.
Christian Mowrer- Orono- (Football)- Rushed for 115 yards and three touchdowns on 10 carries in a 61-14 victory over Dexter.
Robert Roberts- PCHS (Soccer)- Had a hat trick and one assist in 5-1 victory over PVHS.
Matt Guiod- Mattanawcook (Cross Country)- Broke course record at Tuesday’s M.A.Lynx Invitational CC Meet.
