Bottom Line: Justin Timberlake’s new movie feels out of sync. It’s a mostly dull and forgettable futuristic one-trick pony. The pony, admittedly, is interesting (time is literally money; you never age a day past 25) and the 2nd half picks up a bit when it becomes a sci-fi BONNIE AND CLYDE knock-off – but the unexplained hook, the shoddy production values and overall drabness of IN TIME left me a little ticked.
Starring: Justin Timberlake, Amanda Seyfried and Cillian Murphy
Directed by: Andrew Niccol (Gattaca)
Running time: 109 minutes
Story: In the not-too-distant future the aging gene has been switched off. To avoid overpopulation, time has become the currency and the way people pay for luxuries and necessities. The rich can live forever, while the rest try to negotiate for their immortality. (Strike Entertainment)
