This year’s Carolina Renaissance Festival starts October 8th, and runs weekends until November 20th! Starting with Columbs Day weekend, then National Boss’s Day, Halloween, and ends the weekend before Thanksgiving. There are of course other little holidays spread between these days, but you don’t need a holiday to attend the festival!
If you have never been to the Renaissance Festival, then you are missing out! They have over 500 costumed characters, jousting tournaments, the worlds largest rocking horse, 11 stages of music and comedy, rides and games, over 100 craft and food vendors, and artisan demonstrations. There is something available for all ages! I can attest to this since I brought my 2 year old last year, and he loved it as much as I did!
New in 2011 is the music of Maidens IV and the shows of Lord Marshall Laww. Maidens IV delivers high action Celtic & Roots music that will charm and lure you in to join the fun! Lord Marshall Laww has Peasant Trials! and a Wench & Stud Auction that will keep you laughing through the show.
Once you are inside the Renaissance Festival there are many free activities available to you. They have a large child’s swing, playground equipment, petting zoo, shows, the awesome joust, and characters that will talk to you. Walking around is the greatest entertainment, between the buildings, market items, and other visitors there is tons to look at. You will want to have lunch there since the food smells so good and is such a great price.
GIVEAWAY: So create your own holiday or come on a holiday! I will be giving away sets of two adult tickets worth $20 each ticket.
