WANTED: Historical Clay High School artifacts – newspaper clippings, pictures, awards, etc.
Green Cove Springs is unusual among US cities for many reasons.
Not the least of which is its 100-year-old public high school.
This month Clay High celebrates “Decades of Devils,” a week-long party October 30-November 4 to mark its centennial.
The faculty, staff and students invite all alumni to “go back to school.”
Here’s Your Homework
Bring your memorabilia, your bits of junk and your memories to help make the centennial the big deal that it really is.
Help design a float for your decade, volunteer to work the booths and events, or tell your stories. The high school staff are busy collecting oral histories from alumni.
Not many folk can claim to have gone to a high school that’s lasted a whole century. The institution doesn’t generally have that kind of staying power.
And even if you didn’t go to Clay High, drop by for the party and find out why Green Cove Springs is such a funky place.
