SEPT. 19, 2011 – GOP accuse President Obama of class warfare, when the actuality of a so called class warfare originated in the Reagan era and peaked during the Bush administration. Trickle down theory, or give the wealthy more and in theory, the less fortunate would some how benefit as well, was the logic behind this unproven application.
Never the less, this method of greed and narrow mindedness was embraced by GOP to a point that they would revere Reagan and pledge in writing to not increase taxes on the wealthy or corporate class whether Americans approved it or not.
Americans on a whole, were unfocused during the three previous decades as far as what was going on in Washington. Americans placed trust that the politicians would do what was in the best interest of the people.
Well, we all know that didn’t happen. And if the housing market hadn’t imploded and drug the world’s economy down with it, Americans still would not have given attention to this erroneous display of governance.
If GOP and Tea Party representatives are not removed from leverage in federal government, there will be further damage to the classes and it has nothing to do with President Obama. The ridiculous notion to grant Reagan sainthood and not tax the wealthy is the culprit.
Pay attention to the number of times Reagan’s name is invoked in a conversation by GOP. This is no accident, this is a plan by Grover Norquist, the same man that demands a pledge from GOP politicians in writing, an understudy to Reagan, now in a powerful position.
Ronald Reagan was no more a great president than Kennedy or Clinton, yet every debate or conversation on the continuity of American greatness with GOP/Tea Party is based on Reagan.
What is so heart wrenching is that GOP, Tea Party nor Congress for that matter, has devised any plan during the recession or before to create jobs for Americans. They have no answer or they certainly would have devised it by now, there is no plan. Their golden plan is to place focus on President Obama as the scapegoat and rely on the old apathetic manner of Americans to accept that plan as just.
President Obama stated in a speech from the White House today, that “This is not class warfare, it’s math.” This is in reference to his proposal that includes all Americans sharing the burden of an incredible deficit and jobless nation, wealthy and middle class. Keeping in mind, this debacle was created by previous administrations of at least thirty years.
Now the GOP and Tea Party politicians employ greed and stupidity as their weapon of choice in this so called, class warfare once President Obama calls them out on their comtemptuous tactics that are neither right or honorable for the American People.
