Halloween is on Monday and that means that these classic stars celebrate a birthday. If you don’t like horror films I say pick a star and watch a bunch of their movies if you are that dedicated.
In 1951 in one of her first starting roles Detective Story she was nominated for supporting actress role at the Academy Awards and best actress at the Cannes Festival. While not acting she also is a director. Grant I think had a pretty good career even though she was blacklisted in the 50s but she did bounce back. It’s nice to see that because a lot of stars lost their careers all because of paranoia.
This Russian star made some of the best well known Soviet films and he was mostly known for his comedies though he also did have serious dramatic roles. I’ve personally never seen any of his films but will have too.
Probably best known for his TV roles than films roles I would think though I Was a Teenage Werewolf is quite funny to know that he starred in it. But for me I will always remember him on Little House on the Prairie as Pa.
One of my favorite Spaghetti Western stars, him and Terrence Hill were awesome cowboys. One of his American Roles (since he’s an Italian Actor) was in A Farewell to Arms he was the character Carabinere under his real name Carlo Pedersoli.
She was nicknamed “Queen of the B-movie Film Noir” which to me isn’t a bad thing I wouldn’t mind being called it. She retired from acting in 1957 and her most known picture would be I think Nicholas Ray’s film noir On Dangerous Ground in 1952 were she was a doomed gun moll.
I enjoy many works by this man first The Crying Game was an instance classic and secondly he starred in my favorite vampire film, Interview with the Vampire as Santiago whom is a dick actually. Anyway Stephen Rea has made some interesting and great films.
No wonder why this man was in comedy he was born on a trickster holiday. John Candy how can we forget about his roles and where do I begin? He was a major comedy star in the 80s with such pictures as Uncle Buck and Summer Rental.
This is for the Soap fans out there she was Barbara on Young and the Restless and Dr. Marlena Evans on Days of Our Lives. So she is a TV star not a classic film actress but you could say somewhat of a classic TV actress and she is from Wisconsin by the way.
So as you can see a variety of actors have this ghoulish day for their birthdays.
