The testimony on the fourth day of the Conrad Murray trial had a former patient on the stand. A witness for the prosecution gave testimony that he was abandoned after Conrad Murray took a job with Michael Jackson. Robert Russell was on the stand talking about his care after two previous surgeries with Dr. Murray.
Focusing on the quality of care, Russell shared his frustration of being abandoned only weeks after serious heart procedures. Feeling extremely desperate, the heart patient testified that he even thought about “blocking him [Conrad Murray] from leaving the country.”
While unrealistic to block anyone from leaving the country due to the quality of care, Robert Russell’s testimony was disheartening that his former doctor didn’t give him the comfort after what was described as a near death experience.
Expected to be one of over a dozen patients seen by Dr Murray over the years, the Conrad Murray trial is expected to continue until the end of October.
