Whether you’ve traveled from Long Island to Walt Disney World for a fun family trip, a honeymoon, or a romantic getaway, consider a trip to Narcoossee’s, a signature dining experience at the Grand Floridian Resort. This upscale restaurant offers some great dishes as well as a view of the Magic Kingdom, so that if you have an evening reservation you just might be able to catch a glimpse of the fireworks from the windows.
The meal starts with a nice fresh basket of bread and some butter with sea salt. While there we were able to try both the Surf and Turf as well as the whole Maine lobster. The surf and turf was delicious, with the steak cooked perfectly and a wonderful lobster tail. The whole Maine lobster was also outstanding, with soft, sweet meat inside accompanied by an extremely delicious pasta dish. The only complaints about the entrees were that the cooked vegetables were a bit crunchy.
For dessert we sampled the strawberry-banana tart and the almond crusted cheesecake. The cheesecake tasted very nice, though it was very rich. The strawberry and lemon fruit tart was divine – it’s the perfect combination of flavors, and the strawberries were huge, fresh, and juicy. If you like fresh fruit you’ll want to give this a try.
You’ll need to make reservations in advance for this restaurant – Disney allows you to make online reservations up to 180 days ahead of time, and this restaurant can be one of the more popular ones. In addition, if you are celebrating any sort of special occasion while you are there be sure to let them know when you make your reservation – you just might find some extra pixie dust sprinkled on you!
