Doctor Who on BBC America is not quite gone from people’s minds if the stuff I scoured on the internet is any indication. After almost 50 years including a 15 year hiatus, the Doctor’s fans are definitely keeping him alive while we all wait for him to make his appearance on the small screen.
Check out this fun game that begs the question: How much of space and time will you own? Think Geek, the most awesomest place for Geektastic collectibles has a Doctor Who Monopoly board game. And it has been updated with the 11th Doctor’s adventures. Who wants this? You are welcome.
Apparently there is a Doctor Who Insider magazine, but for some reason I can’t seem to find a U.S. subscription for it and that is really quite sad, especially for the newbies to the Doc Who franchise like me. But check out the Doctor Who News site to see what will be in the next issue to come.
How many TARDIS items can you have? Apparently not enough. Check out this one of a kind Doctor Who TARDIS Teapot by Rebekka Ferbrache as she describes how she made it. I don’t drink Tea, but I so seriously want this, to go alongside my TARDIS mug. Also check out her TARDIS Bank to add to your growing collection or a great gift for the Doctor Who fan in your life.
Now click on over to this site to see the cutest little Time Lord! It is a toddler dressed as all 11 Doctor’s and is cute as a friggen button.
Now that Halloween is upon us and the TARDIS is as always such a popular fun item, check out this carved TARDIS pumpkin which is colored blue and even shows the inside of the “TARDIS.”
And last but certainly not least, is the news hitting the web that Matt Smith is thinking of leaving the show. Read here for the story, but to be honest I guess with the growing popularity of Doctor Who here this is probably the best time for Smith cut and run so to speak. Though he was not my favorite, he has grown to be right up there with David Tennant for me, so yes very sad to see him go.
There you go, a few interesting stories floating around the web to keep your love of the Doctor alive. Also don’t forget to crochet your own TARDIS Hat while waiting for the Doctor.
Doctor Who airs on BBC America on Saturdays at 9e/p
