East Valley Veterinary Clinic has recently moved to a brand new location at 2675 East Parley’s Way, but it is no stranger to east side Sugar House pet owners, who have utilized its services at its previous, smaller location at 2165 East 2100 South for over 25 years. For pet owners familiar with that site, they welcome the larger, more spacious facility, especially the reception area which, to say the least, was ‘compact’ at the 2100 South location.
According to managing veterinarian Dr. Lynnette Sakellariou, better known as ‘Dr. Lynnette’ to her canine and feline patients and their owners, the 2100 South East Valley site started out on a part-time basis, but soon offered full time service to meet growing area veterinary needs.
East Valley Veterinary Clinic (801-467-0661) primarily serves dogs and cats, offering vaccinations and other routine care as well as dentistry and laser surgery. The clinic is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (last appointment at 5:00 p.m.) and from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
Dr. Sakellariou is assisted by two part-time veterinarians, Dr. Jessica Love and Dr. Tom Mostoller.
Central Valley Veterinary Group Affiliation
East Valley is part of the larger Central Valley Veterinary group located at 55 Miller Avenue, which, in addition to the East Valley site, offers other satellite services in West Valley, South Jordan (large animal clinic), and Holladay.
Parley’s Way Site History
The Parley’s Way site originally housed Finn’s Restaurant, a popular Scandinavian dining spot, which opened in 1952, but closed in the mid 1990’s, disappointing many in the area. In 2006, a Finn family member opened Finn’s Café, a more informal dining facility serving breakfast and lunch only at 1624 South 1100 East.
Following the closure of Finn’s Restaurant, the site was transformed to become the Foothill Animal Clinic, but when owner veterinarian Dr. Brad Wilson passed away recently, it was purchased and extensively remodeled by the East Valley Clinic.
