If you have been to a wedding lately you may have witnessed and un-interesting occurance. The MC announces the bridal party followed by the bride and groom. In some cases the DJ may play a fun song to welcome the bridal party. Isn’t that what most people do? The best way to kick off the reception celebration is with a grand entrance.
The grand entrance can be customized to suit your personal style. To ensure success one of the important elements is to cover any out-of-the-box ideas with the venue first. You don’t want to upset them or the idea may never get off the ground.
Here are stellar ways of surprising your guests and getting the party started:
Go for a ride
This can be a fun twist to entering a room. You can use bikes of any kind from mototorized to tricicles. Again consider your style but imagine coming in rding a pair of matching bikes. If you are daring and can manage try a few stunts.
Ride in being pulled by a Red Flyer wagon. As a twist you can pull the groom. He can be in the back with sun glasses and a beer. This entrance is also fun if you want to include your pet. Put the pet in the back to ride with either of you or by themselves. There many fun variations on this one so be creative.
Ligth up the room
Have the bridal party enter the room and meet you on the dance floor. They can stand as they did at the alter. Once there they can all be ready to light their own sparklers and raise them as the two you enter the room. Then meet them and stand as you did at the alter but this time facing your guests. A variation would be to use glow sticks in case the venue does not allow sparklers inside. This idea will make great pictures.
Create a themed dance for the grand entrance. For this select fun music ahead of time and have the bridal party orchestrate either individual moves or a whole team choregraphy set to music. For example you can decide to use a Cinderella Disney sound track of the princess arriving at the ball complete with chiming of a grandfather clock in the background. Or perhaps the sound track from the movie Father of The Bride. The options are unlimitted.
Fun entrances set the stage for a memorable evening. Your guests will be greatful that you thought of ways to entertain and surprise them. Not to mention the photos that will be taken can be used later as you send thank you notes reminding them of the joy you all shared.
