From traditional Chinese Qigong to the latest stress reduction techniques,
WSPA member Linda Lazarus demonstrates how to live your life to the fullest.
Founder of the Center to Advance Human Potential, Linda will join other mind-body centers and practitioners in the Washington DC metropolitan area to present Mind-Body Week October 13-16.
Linda will conduct a free workshop on Biofield Balancing, Sunday, Oct. 16, from noon to 2:30 p.m. at the Mindfulness Center in Bethesda.
Biofield Balancing is designed to promote and maintain the balance of vital energy fields in the body. The science and practice of moving the subtle energies of the body are as ancient as recorded history. Many cultures have developed this practice, which is known as Qigong in China, Reiki in Japan, and Biofield Balancing in this country. Research has shown that Biofield Balancing (which includes, amongst others, Bioenergy, Qigong, Therapeutic Touch, Healing Touch and Reiki) has been found to accelerate healing, reduce pain, alleviate physical symptoms, reduce stress and anxiety, induce relaxation and provide a sense of peace.
Participants in the Biofield Balancing Practicum will use meditation and other traditional yoga and qigong techniques to become aware of the energy of the body and the chakras. Participants will then learn how to feel and move energy as well as self-healing and balancing techniques.
Linda Lazarus began her study and practice of biofield balancing in 1998. In 2002, she started to teach group classes that integrate yoga and qigong with biofield awareness and practice. Ms. Lazarus has studied with many teachers and advisors including Jeremy Waletzky MD, Leonard Wisneski, MD, Lorenz K.Y. Ng, MD, Mietek Wirkus, Irene Chen, Master Chan Zhang, Grandmaster Effie Poy Yew Chow, Michael Reed Gach, Michael Ward, Patricia Miller, and Maggie Newman. She has certifications in Qigong and Yoga, and is the Energy Advisor to The Mindfulness Center in Bethesda, Maryland. She has served as the Spirituality Editor for Mediate.Com. and is the founder and coordinator of the DC Contemplative Law Group. Ms. Lazarus is a frequent speaker at law firms and other organizations.
