On October 14, 2011 the Sharing Place will be holding its “Colors of Life” fundraiser. Scheduled for the McCune Mansion, the event starts at 6:00pm.
Attendees can expect educational information in a party atmosphere that supports a great cause.
“It will help us to continue to provide services to families across the Wasatch Front,” says Stephanie Steele, executive director for the Sharing Place.
Talking sticks will feature prominently in the décor as part of the theme for the “Colors of Life.” The Sharing Place uses talking sticks during in their programs, and their newsletter is named after the tool.
Along with a live band and dancing, there will be a Texas Hold ‘em poker tournament, gaming tables, a silent auction and an opportunity drawing. There will also be a “Lucky 7” tour of the mansion.
Utah Food Services will be providing the food, and drinks will be available.
“It is the best fundraiser in town,” says Steele. Guests will “walk away confident that their money is going to a great program.”
Tickets for the event are $100 and may be purchased here. People wishing to attend may also call (801)466-6730.
