October 1: Nashville Beer Festival

Enjoy over 100 craft beers, outstanding food, fine local music and more. Other events includeTwo Championship Brew Offs and a concert.
Tickets are $30 on their website, which includes entrance to the concert.
October 1: Celebrate Nashville Festival

10:00 AM – 6:00 PMFormerly known as The Celebration of Cultures, this free annual festival draws Nashville’s diverse communities to Centennial Park for a day of food, fun and activities featuring over 55 music and dance performances on 5 different stages.

October 8: Oktoberfest in Historic Germantown – A Street Festival
9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Authentic German food & beverages, polka dancing, street performers, tours of Germantown’s historic churches, free funland for the kids, arts, crafts & antique specialty booths. 4 stages of entertainment featuring live German music.
October 8: Nashville Zombie Walk
3:00 PM – 6:00 PM
The Nashville Zombie Walk is a Free annual gathering of people, ALL dressed as members of the living dead, walking the streets to the horror and/or delight of those still living. The 2011 Nashville Zombie Walk will take place on World Zombie Day as part of the larger “World Zombie Walk.” They will be collecting non-perishable food items for donation to The Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee.
October 21: Franklin Wine Festival
7:00 PM – 10:00 PM
The Factory at Franklin
The seventh annual Franklin Wine Festival features more than 300 wines for tastings and culinary offerings from many of Middle Tennessee’s finest restaurants. Benefits the children of Big Brothers Big Sisters. $75/Advance ticket, $85/Door ticket.
October 28 – 29: 2011 Franklin’s Battle of the BBQ: Heineys and Butts
Historic Downtown Franklin, Tenn. hosts its Second Annual Battle of the BBQ:Heineys and Butts, sponsored by Heineken Oct. 28-29, 2011 as part of the 28th annual Pumpkinfest event on Main Street.
