WHERE: IKEA Houston Plaza (I-10 and Antoine)
WHAT: If you didn’t make it out for our Trees for Houston Tree sale last year, don’t miss out again! There will be more than 400 native trees available for purchase, starting at $10 for a 3ft tall tree up to $30 for a 6ft tall tree. Plus, knowledgeable volunteers will help you choose between the different species – Crape Myrtles, Pines and Live Oaks- and share tips on planting and care. The efforts of IKEA and Trees for Houston to distribute these trees will improve our regional air quality, reduce the urban heat island effect associated with the ever increasing urbanization, mitigate the stress of our daily lives and beautify many different neighborhoods throughout the city. Funds raised during this sale will go directly to Trees for Houston to support the organization’s mission and programs. Any trees that are not sold will benefit the greater Houston region at potential planting sites. Hope to see you there!
