An Achievable Dream Academy is located in Newport News, Virginia. They provide at-risk K-12 students with a quality education in a nurturing environment. At-risk of failure because of socioeconomic factors, these students thrive in a program that challenges them and raises the level of expectations they have for themselves and others.
Folds of Honor Foundation, headquartered in Owasso, Oklahoma, provides scholarships and other assistance to the spouses and children of soldiers killed or disabled in service to our country. Their goal is to ensure that no family gets left behind in the fight to preserve American freedom.
The Eastern Congo Initiative (ECI) was founded by actor and activist Ben Affleck. It is the first U.S. based advocacy and grant-making initiative focused on working with and for the people of the eastern Congo. ECI provides grants and assistance to local, community-based organizations dedicated to economic and social development, including the education of former child soldiers and rape victims.
Tickets to the James River Jam can be purchased online at www.jamesriverjam.com or by contacting Amanda Johnson at (757) 875-7779 or [email protected] You must be 18 or over to attend this event.
