–Shawn Michaels, The Road Warriors, Randy Savage and Mick Foley (why?) will be downloadable characters in the new WWE ’12 video game. Jerry Lawler, Jim Ross and Michael Cole are also going to be available to download in what should be one of the best wrestling games developed. Batista is also supposed to be a playable character but who cares?
–Barry Windham suffered a serious heart attack earlier this week and according to his father and Friend of the Show BlackJack Mulligan, Windham is near death. What is known is Windham is in critical condition in intensive care and is struggling to survive.
–Killer Karl Kox also suffered a heart attack last weekend and after surgery he is said to be alert and recovering. Doctors said the Florida wrestling pioneer was lucky to be alive.
–Gerald Brisco is not dead despite what Diamond Dallas Page said via Twitter. The former NWA World Tag Team Champion did suffer a stroke but is recovering.
–There is an article floating around about the wrestlers who will not be part of WWE ’12 and the list is beyond ridiculous and includes Jeff Jarrett, Bruno Sammartino, Dynamite Kid and Chris Benoit. Seriously, some people just need to keep tweeting from their mother’s basement and leave the wrestling business alone.
–Someone please tell me why Hornswoggle getting temp tats of The Muppets newsworthy?
–AudienceView Tickekting is touting a new service that will allow you to buy and sell event tickets on Facebook starting in 2012. Yeah, no scamming in that idea…
–K&S WrestleFest will be presenting Friend of the Show Roddy Piper and his Piper’s Pit as part of their show in Philadelphia on December 3, 2011. Sgt. Slaughter and Bob Orton Jr. are also scheduled to appear and you can get more information here.
–The rumor mill is abuzz with news that David Otunga and Jennifer Hudson have split though reps for Hudson deny the report. The two have allegedly put their nuptials on hold due to Otunga not wanting to sign a prenuptial agreement and I am available to perform the ceremony if it does take place.
–Jim Ross and toy company Mattel have announced a new project aimed at “collectors.” More details are to be released but the word is this will appeal to longtime fans and collectors.
–From the “not news because it is a work” department, Torrie Wilson feigned ignorance to the Stacy Keibler and George Clooney relationship but everyone seems to think Wilson is clueless.
–Half Pint Brawlers will be at King’s Island in Mason, Ohio tonight and Saturday.
–Friend of the Show and my alma mater OVW will be at Eddy’s Sports Pub in Noblesville, Indiana tonight so go check out some great indie wrestling. The group will also be at the Colgate Gyn in Clarksville, Indiana on Saturday.
–On the opposite side of that coin, if you want to see some of the worst indie wrestling then go check out WCWO at the Outlaw Arena in Indianapolis. Tell Don Basher I said…never mind, I cannot print that.
–BLW wrestling will be at the Rambler Center in Russellville, Ohio on Saturday.
–Friend of the Show Heartland Wrestling will be at the Donald E. Prues Center in Norwood, Ohio on Saturday.
–NWF wrestling will be at the UAW Hall in Fairfield, Ohio on Saturday.
–IWA wrestling (and not the horrid Mid-South version) will be at the Marketplace of the Americas in Columbus, Ohio on Sunday.
–Friend of the Show WAR Wrestling will be holding a benefit show for the West Ohio Food Bank on November 26 at the UAW Hall in Lima, Ohio. This is a great group with some of the best indie workers around and they provide a ton of money and support for local charities. You can get ringside seats for a $10 donation, general admission is $5 and three cans of food will get you in the door.
–Friend of the Show Jerry Wilson and his Hoosier Pro Wrestling, the best wrestling since Bruiser, will be back in Columbus, Indiana at the Bartholomew County Fairgrounds on November 5 with another great show featuring Sign Guy, Nick “U-Gene” Dinsmore and “Diceman” Ronnie Vegas and someone will be losing their hair. This is a benefit show as well hoping to collect toys and donations for underprivileged children so bring some toys and catch some great wrestling.
–Also on November 5 CZW and Insanity Pro Wrestling will have a joint show in Indianapolis and I am hearing that people from IWA Mid-South will be part of this as well and if that is the case…well, everyone knows how I feel about the IWA Mid-South and the people therein.
–In a sign that people are desperate for news and that Vince McMahon is slowly going off his rocker, the WWE owner is said to have had a hissy fit over Zack Ryder’s shirt that had the phrase “spike your hair” because it said “spike” and Vince referenced it to the network which carries Impact Wrestling.
–Kane has hair and The Undertaker does not…

–Happy Birthday to my oldest son and Ohio State University student Morgan Wiseman who will be 19 on Saturday. Good luck to my youngest son Nate who tries to help his football team The Smoky Mountain Mustangs win the Cracker Bowl on Saturday.
