It’s nearly Friday, folks, and to celebrate that incredibly-awesome realization (we’re pumped about Saturday’s Mondo Mystery Movie, so any day closer to the weekend is one worth celebrating here at Comedy Examiner HQ), we’ve cobbled together yet another round of Funny Photos for your reading pleasure. Today’s batch features– amongst other shenanigans– a photo which proves to a group of Justin Bieber fans that not all dreams are worth coming true. You can see that photo by clicking the “Slideshow” box to the left, or (if you’re new around here) you can read on to find out what’s going on with our Funny Photo series. Make your choice, my gentle Examiner readers…
Here at Comedy Examiner HQ, we tend to run a large number of Funny Photo articles each week. If you’re a Comedy Examiner subscriber (and, really, if you’re not, you should be by now), then you already know how these articles play out: you get a snarky intro (all italicized, of course); you get a few paragraphs describing the Funny Photo (or the person who submitted said photo to Comedy Examiner HQ); you get instructions on how to look at the Funny Photo (because– this being the internet– everything needs to be overexplained); and you get a wrap-up paragraph telling you to send in your ownFunny Photos. This has always been the Funny Photo article format.
But today, we’re changing that. Forever. Because– to be frank– it’s kind of stupid.
The fact of the matter is, Funny Photo articles exist only to serve as a vessel for the Funny Photos themselves: the words are inconsequential, because anyone who’s ever clicked on a Funny Photo headline has only done so in the interest of seeing– you guessed it– a Funny Photo. For instance: you didn’t come to this page to read our commentary about a Funny Photo, right? You came to see a Funny Photo.
You can do so now, by clicking the “Slideshow” box over there on the left. Could be a single Funny Photo in there; could be a dozen. We just don’t know. The world’s a mysterious place.
Starting today, we’re going to be offering up a standard set of paragraphs for each and every Funny Photo article. In case you hadn’t guessed, you’re reading those standard paragraphs right now. In the future, when you visit Comedy Examiner HQ and decide you wanna read a Funny Photo article, you can click the headline (or the link, if you’ve come across the headline on another site) and skip straight through the B.S.
From here on out, all Funny Photo articles will feature an original intro…but everything else will be copied over from thisslightly-historic page. As far as we’re concerned, this is a win-win scenario: we save time getting Funny Photos in front of your face by skipping over the “writing snarky commentary” part of the process, and you don’t have to worry about missing everything whenever you skip over the article itself to go straight to the Funny Photo (we know that 99% of you do this, and we’re totally cool with it). At some point, we’ll create a new “standard” set of Funny Photo paragraphs, but until then, plan on skipping over this message a few times.
As always, you can still stay tuned for more Funny Photos in the days, weeks, months, and years ahead, and you can also still send in your own Funny Photos for a chance to have them featured here at Comedy Examiner HQ. If they’re selected, you’ll be given credit and all the glory that comes with seeing your name in digital print. Just think how jealous your friends are gonna be! Stay tuned for more, ladies.
