All of the stars in The Dark Knight Rises are more than excited to be a part of Christopher Nolan‘s Batman trilogy. Whether they’ve been around for the whole franchise or just joining in, they’ve all got great things to say about it. Here now are just a few thoughts from stars Gary Oldman, Tom Hardy, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
Gary Oldman, who is back in his role of Commissioner Jim Gordon, recently spoke with LoveFilm.com about The Dark Knight Rises. Even with two months left of principal photography to go, he knows something very special is going on.
“I can’t tell you anything about it, I’m sworn to secrecy!” he protested, before reassuring us that, “yeah, it’s a terrific script, it’s a great story.
“There was obviously a bit of pressure on Chris to make another one, but he can call the shots now, and I don’t think he’d have made a third for the sake of it. He really wanted to complete what’s, I guess, the trilogy. And he’s come up with something very special.”
Making matters better is that Oldman states Nolan is taking his time with this conclusion film as he wants to do whatever it takes to get it right.
“We finish in November, so the shoot’s from April to November,” Oldman confirms – a lengthy schedule for Nolan’s now traditional starry ensemble cast.
“I think Morgan Freemanwent off and made a whole other movie, and it’s already coming out!”

Tom Hardy plays the monster villain Bane in the film and he has had plenty to say about The Dark Knight Rises over the past couple months without ever giving too much away. But as his new film Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy gets released; Hardy spoke on how it is different working on a smaller film than the huge production Dark Knight is.

Lastly is Joseph Gordon-Levitt who will take on the role of Gotham cop John Blake, even though many others believe he is rumored for anothe role. But when recently asked for any news on the film by USA Today, JGL wasn’t willing to give up too much.
“I can tell you that one of the things I admire most about Mr. Nolan is that he understands that the story begins before the movie does. He’s already telling the story that he’s got cooked up. He’s a master storyteller. Every little bit of information he lets out, he does it at the proper time,” says Gordon-Levitt, in Toronto for his wry cancer dramedy 50/50. “Far be it for me to preempt the rhythm of his. I love that people are excited about it. I guarantee, as an audience member, one will have the best experience if one just trusts him.”
Not only is it obvious that so many fans trust in the work that Nolan has done and has upcoming, but he has the trust and respect of his cast. And why shouldn’t he? He’s failed no-one yet.
The Dark Knight Rises stars Christian Bale, Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Morgan Freeman, Gary Oldman, Michael Caine, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Josh Pence, Marion Cotillard, Juno Temple, and more. The Dark Knight Rises hits theatres on July 20, 2012.
Those in the New Orleans area will be able to order their tickets here and for the final installment in Christopher Nolan‘s Batman trilogy and will be able to see it at the Chalmette Movies, the Palace at Elmwood, and the Palace at the Clearview Mall once the date gets closer for release.
