Georgia Confederation of Clubs

by knot move

I wanted to touch base with motorcycle clubs, riding clubs, and associations that ride in the state of Georgia about “big brother” government attacking our lifestyle. For those who ride with a motorcycle club or any other riders association or group–you are under attack whether you know it or not. Patch holders of all types–one piece or three pieces–are in the watchful eye of the Gang Task Force and other law enforcement agencies.

We all know the term 1%er if you have any time in the saddle of a bike. The term is associated with outlaw motorcycles clubs across the nation. I know several brothers in the wind from various organizations who will tell you– a few bad apples spoil the bunch. Just because some members of clubs commit acts of violence and crime does not make the MC world “outlaw.” The 1%er`s simply live a rugged biker lifestyle outside the bounds of normal society which is their right under our constitution.

The government sees it different, and as usual, they use one of the following answers to solve all problems–control, usurpation of power, obstruction of liberty, and regulation. If you wear a patch of any kind, be it from an organization or not, you are at risk of being lumped into a discriminated class of bikers. This is where the “Confederation of Clubs” comes in. It serves to bring us all together to fight back and stop these unnecessary laws and harassment. If you are not a patch holder you can support the efforts of the Georgia C.O.C. with contributions as well.

If you are a member of an organization who has not joined the Georgia C.O.C. then you should take the time to contact the C.O.C. and check it out–it may save you from undue harassment or incarceration. The other reason to check it out is that numbers equal power in politics; yes, the C.O.C. acts as a lobby group to protect the biker lifestyle. There is current legislation in place to change helmet laws, regulate emissions and exhaust pipes, handle bar heights, and where you can or cannot wear you patch. These are but a small fraction of the issues “big brother government” plans to change without your knowledge or consent.

Like all the other issues of the day we have a rouge government that intends to control your life and steal your personal liberties. One of the attractions of the biker lifestyle is the freedom we hold while in the wind. Some jackass politician in Atlanta or in Washington, who probably has never ridden in his or her life, is out to control your life and your personal liberty–wake up before it is too late.
