Ever since joining the “Glee” family last year, Darren Criss has quickly become a fan favorite. The 24-year-old is known as much for his stunning good looks as he is for his incredible voice. For that reason, he is getting more screen time than ever before this year. He will once again take center stage for “Pot ‘O Gold” this Tuesday with a high-energy solo. Watch to the left to see the first look at Darren singing yet another Katy Perry song.
Darren does an amazing job with this cover, rivaling his performance of Perry’s “Teenage Dream.” He does get a little help with the tune, enlisting the back-up skills of Lea Michele, Harry Shum Jr., Dianna Agron and Kevin McHale.
So why is Santana looking glum as the rest of the glee club dances for joy? As reported here yesterday, the Cheerio will be exiting New Directions to team up with Mercedes by the time episode six rolls around. Perhaps this is some foreshadowing.
In addition to Darren’s Katy Perry cover, the cast will be singing some other great songs on November 1. Here is the full list:
Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.) by Katy Perry. Sung by Blaine and Artie with New Directions.
It’s Not Easy Being Green from Sesame Street. Sung by Rory.
Waiting For A Girl Like You by Foreigner. Sung by Puck.
Candyman by Christina Aguilera. Sung by Pot of Sugar.
Take Care Of Yourself by Level 42. Sung by Rory.
