Good Grub Subs in Alpharetta is teaming with the Georgia Chapter of Raising Our Celiac Kids (R.O.C.K) to raise funds for Camp Weekaneatit. During the month of October Good Grub Subs will donate a portion of the proceeds from their gluten-free sandwiches/subs sales to Camp Weekaneatit, a camp for kids with Celiac Disease and Gluten Sensitivity.
Camp Weekaneatit is the local children’s camp created and organized by the Georgia R.O.C.K and its goal is to provide a safe and positive camp experience for those children following a gluten-free diet. Camp Weekaneatit is a week-long camp held in the metro Atlanta area where kids enjoy traditional camp activities without worrying about food. This camp allows children the opportunity to get to know other children living with the same food intolerances.
Good Grub Delicious Subs is a leader in the area, providing gluten-free options for those wanting to enjoy gluten-free sandwiches on Udi’s Gluten Free White Bread (dairy, soy, and nut free) and The Grainless Baker Hoagie Rolls (contain dairy). The owner of Good Grub Subs, Alan Morris, has a family member with Celiac Disease, so they understand the importance of maintaining strict handling practices and preventing cross contamination, which is why they have a separate gluten-free menu.
All employees are well trained in the areas of food allergies/intolerances, so customers can feel confident that all precautionary measures have been taken to eliminate cross contamination. They have created a written list of instructions for their employees and the first rule is to change to a fresh pair of gloves. One person handles the order from start to finish and sandwiches are prepared at a dedicated gluten-free station.
