There are many Halloween activities and trick-or-treating alternatives around the Olympia area that are free and fun for the whole family. As Halloween is only a week away, it is time to get into the holiday spirit!

Halloween Trunk or Treat hosted by Tumwater United Methodist Church: This event will be held October 30th from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. “Children are invited to trick or treat from the trunks of Halloween-decorated cars. There will also be food & face painting. Bring a can of food for the Thurston County Food Bank. “Trunk or Treat” Harvest Festival hosted by Capital Christian Center: This free event will take place October 31st from 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. It is “a fun, safe, and totally free place to take your family this Halloween! Rows of cars decorate their trunks in a theme and fill them with candy.” Capital Christian Center is located at 4431 Martin Way, Olympia. The Pumpkin Patch Bash hosted by the Church of Living Water: This event will take place on Monday, October 31st from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. at Charlie’s Safari in Lacey. There will be free candy, games, bounce houses, face painting and raffles. They are accepting canned food donations for the Living Water Family Support Center. The Pumpkin Patch Bash hosted by the Church of Living Water and Westfield Capital Mall. This event will take place on Monday, October 31st from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. at Westfield Capital Mall. “Join the Church of Living Water and Westfield Capital for a free, fun and safe alternative to outdoor trick-or-treating. Enjoy face painting, bounce houses, trick-or-treating at participating retailers (while supplies last), raffles, games and more.” They ask that all minors 12 years of age & younger be accompanied by an adult. No face masks or painted faces allowed for anyone over 12 years of age. Please wear appropriate costumes and no costume accessories resembling weapons.
