There are many Halloween activities and trick-or-treating alternatives around the Olympia area that are free and fun for the whole family. As Halloween is only a week away, it is time to get into the holiday spirit!
** A few of these events are happening prior to October 31st so be sure to carefully check the dates and times before you head out to an event!
Halloween Costume Party hosted by Barnes and Noble: This free, spooky storytime will take place at the local Olympia Barnes and Noble store on Saturday, October 29 at 1:00 p.m. “Come dressed in your Halloween costume. Pumpkin and Stroller Trick-or-Treat Classes hosted by Stroller Strides of Olympia: This fun, free workout for moms and kiddos (Dads are welcome as well) will be held at two convenient times: Saturday, October 29th at 8:30 a.m. or Monday, October 31st at 9:30 a.m. Come get a great 60 minute workout, make some new friends and let the kids have fun playing with pumpkins and “stroller trick-or-treating.” For locations and more information about this event visit Stroller Strides Olympia on Facebook or call 1-800-809-3613. Monstrous Treats & Treasures hosted by downtown Olympia retailers: This free event will be held in downtown Olympia on Monday, October 31st from 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. “Bring the kids to lovely downtown Olympia for some safe and mostly sheltered trick or treating. Find the Bop’n Beep Uglydoll at each participating business for entries to win the Monstrous Treasure Chest of amazing items and gift certificates, provided by each business. Free professional photos taken of your little monsters by Dinea de Photo from 3-6pm. Entries collected at Wind Up Here, one winning entry will be drawn at 5:45pm. Harvest Carnival hosted by Wee Love Learning: This free event will be held at Wee Love Learning on Saturday, October 29th from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. The kids will enjoy games, prizes, a raffle, a pumpkin patch, treats, photo booth, and more! Boo Bash! hosted by Hands On Children’s Museum: This event will be held on October 29th from noon – 5 p.m. The cost is as follows: Children: $8.50 for members/$10.50 non-members; accompanying adults are free. Children will enjoy art and science activities, games, face painting, door prizes, and food & beverages. Children are welcome to wear costumes, but they ask that no scary masks be worn.
