The time has come for creepy decorations, creative costumes and outrageous Halloween parties. As usual, Orlando will be home to some of the best costume contests, street parties and Halloween happy hours. Look below for a list of some of the hottest happenings in town this weekend.
Costume Ball at Dragon Room: (October 29, 8pm) Dragon Room is taking a theme and running with it this Halloween as they host the Arabain Nights Costume Party. Head back into the Middle Eastern days gone by at the club’s 8th annual event. Full costume gets your free cover before 11pm. For the ladies, there is a sexiest costume contest (you could win $200!) and free Long Island Iced Teas from 8pm-11pm. If you plan to party like the upper class, reserve a table with the Sultans package ($200/bottle of Moet and Ciroc). Good Vs. Evil Halloween Party: (October 29, 9pm) One of two frighteningly fun Halloween parties at Blue Martini, Good Vs. Evil is a fabulous twist on the haunted holiday. Dress as your favorite superhero or villain and enjoy drink specials, dance music and a costume contest that will pay out $2000 in cash and prizes! This comic book themed party is sure to be crawling with muscle men in tights and attractive ladies dressed in capes and leotards. Circus of Fear at Blue Martini: (October 31, 8pm) Register Magazine and Blue Martini are teaming up to host one hell of a Halloween party. Dress in your freakiest or sexist costume and receive free cocktail. Admission is $5 for ladies and $10 for men; however, for those in the hospitality industry there is no cover after 10 pm and half off food and drinks all night (payback for all those hellish tables you served). For those who get here a bit early, your costume gets you two free drinks from 8pm-10pm, as well as complimentary appetizers. $1500 in cash and prizes will be awarded to the person with the best costume!
Halloween Street Party at Church Street: (October 29, 8pm) An Orlando staple every Halloween, the Church Street Party is sure to be crawling with ghoulish costumes and sexy everything (bumble nee, nurse, (insert random noun here). XL 106.7’s Johnny’s House will be staying up late and partying on the street all night and there is a $3000 ALL CASH prize for the best costume! Drink specials will be a plenty ($3 Irish cider, $3 Miller Lite) on the street, as will field judges and music. This is THE costume party to be at and win this year, so bring your A-game. (33 W. PlazaWeen at Wall Street Plaza: (October 29-31) This weekend long block party will feature costume contests, drink specials and a new incentive to get down here and party every night! October 29, wear your best costume and compete for prizes such as free drinks for a year (1st place prize). DJs will be on hand, drink specials will be on tap and cover is $10. October 30, is Halloween Hospitality Night. Those in the industry can enjoy no cover, a costume contest (first prize is $1000!) and drink specials all night. Halloween Hoedown at Eastside Bistro: (October29, 9pm) Slap on your overalls and paint on some freckles because this Halloween party is all about country music and farm hands. Second Annual Halloween Spirit Stroll: (October 29, 630pm) Dressing up has never been done for such a great cause. The 2nd Annual Spirit Stroll is taking place in Baldwin Park this weekend. Tickets for this giant pub crawl are $25 in advance, $35 the night of, with donations benefiting the Second Harvest Food Bank. Guests are encouraged to wear their best costume and bring canned food for donating. The costume contest will begin at 11pm and will pay out $500 in cash and prizes. Whether you dress the kids up and take them out for trick-or-treating at the local retail store and businesses, participate in costume contests or indulge in food from the local vendors, this is the area’s biggest and best outdoor, family friendly trick-or-treating event.
