It seems that in the Halloween department, apart for companies like Disney, children do not get the Halloween movie experience that past generations have been able to. There were movies like Casper, Hocus Pocus, or Escape to Witch Mountain. These were fascinating movies that the children enjoyed, parents were okay with, and everyone was happy with them. People were even able to take their kids to the movie theatre to see them. Times have changed apparently because no longer can families have a Halloween movie outing. All the movies in theatres are either all blood and gore or to scary for children in general.
It is time for the movie business to start creating movies about Halloween for children. They need to find their imagination and use their creativity to help solve this issue! True, Disney does create some, but anymore most are about their own television shows. Let them even get back to their creative side with movies such as Don’t Look Under the Bed or the Halloweentown series. It is time to take a stand to get Halloween movies back for kids to be able to watch, but even in general for children. Let’s get movies for kids to be able to see and have them not be re-makes, sequels, or books. It is time for Hollywood to start hiring people with imagination and creativity!
