The former Los Angeles Deputy DA, Hamid Towfigh was interviewed on HLN, and he expressed his opinions about the Conrad Murray trial. He explained that he does not believe that Michael Jackson could have given himself the dose of propofol, and also revealed that he thinks that Conrad Murray has not been charged correctly and why.
Jane Velez-Mitchell asked Towfigh about the charging, and asked him what he believes Murray should have been charged with and he replied: “Second degree, implied malice murder. It is a life sentence. That is the appropriate charge. It is actually easier — in my opinion to prove.” Conrad Murray is currently charged with involuntary manslaughter, and he faced a maximum of four years if convicted.
There are many people who are have shared Towfigh’s opinion. For example, Nancy Grace recently revealed on Dr. Drew’s show that she believes that Murray has been undercharged. However, she differs with Towfigh in that she thinks Murray should have been charged with murder one.
What do you think of what Hamid Towfigh said of Conrad Murray and the charge of involuntary manslaughter, as opposed to what he believes he should have been charged with?
