The harvest is once again upon us. Fruit is coming in, Fall wine releases are hitting the tasting rooms, stores and restaurants, and harvest festivals abound. It’s the time of year that we’ve all been waiting for, and it’s here!
For wine lovers in the South Bay – Silicon Valley, Santa Clara County, and the Santa Cruz Mountains, this weekend holds a treasure trove of entertaining and educational experiences.
Celebrate Harvest in the Vineyards with The Summit Wineries
Saturday, October 1st, Silver Mountain, Burrell School, Villa del Monte and MJA will have a special harvest celebration from 12:00 noon until 5:00 p.m.
Sunday, October 2nd, Burrell School, Villa del Monte, MJA and Regale will also have a harvest celebration from 12:00 noon until 5:00 p.m.
Enjoy wine and food pairings. Taste new Fall release wines. Some wineries will feature music, tours of the winery, and vineyard tours. For information, please visit The Summit Wineries Harvest Festival site.
The Wineries of Santa Clara Valley host Passport Weekend
October 1st and 2nd also finds The Wineries of Santa Clara Valley hosting Passport weekend. The cost of each Passport is $30 and can be purchased at any participating winery, the Gilroy Visitor Center, and The Morgan Hill Chamber of Commerce. Most wineries will have food and entertainment, along with the celebration of their harvest and releases. Santa Clara Valley Passports are valid for this weekend only.
Many wineries will open as early as 9:00 a.m., so check The Wineries of Santa Clara Valley for details.
