It was just January 12, 2011, when President Barak Obama, along with Debbie Wasserman-Schultz (D-FL)-Head of the Democrat National Committee (DNC) and their entourage, went to Tucson, Arizona, to give a memorial speech in a stadium filled with thousands of morners, in the aftermath of Jared Loughner’s shooting spree that took the lives of nine innocent people, and left Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-AZ) with a gun shot wound to the head–fighting for her very life.
During this somber statesman-like talk, President Obama chose to interject a political tenor, referring to the “polarization” between the political parties, the level of rancor in the chambers of Congress, and called on everyone ot use “empathy” and “civility” in their future political discourse.
(All the while, some local politicians and the mainstream media had branded the suspect a conservative/religious militant-perhaps even a “Tea Party” member, and were scowering the countryside looking for any thread of information that would confirm their already published and televised proclimations. But, none were found–in fact, the police investigation turned up evidence that showed he had no religious or political leanings whatsoever.)
However, once again, yesterday, James Hoffa, Jr, President of the Teamsters Union, could not help himself, taking up the pre-packaged Democrat scapegoat gauntlet, literally threatening the entire Tea Party movement–“warming up” the Labor Day rally crowd in Detroit for President Obama by, at one point, yelling and shaking his fists:
“We need to take the [Tea Party] sons of bitches out!”
There was not a single bit of remorse or any comment made by President Obama upon taking the stage. He then gave a rousing campaign speech, some of which was a limp, thread-bare version of jobs speeches from the past, to the mostly labor union member crowd.
Since then, the White House has been “locked down” on the Hoffa remarks topic, after repeated inquiries to this point; and, during a six minute interview after the speech, the obedient mainstream media, did not even pose the question to him.
This morning on Fox and Friends, while being interviewed by co-anchor Gretchen Carlson, Rep. Debbie Wasserman Shultz would not answer the question of how she felt about Mr. Hoffa’s statement…even when reminded of her and the President’s imploring eveyone for “civility in our political discourse” back in January. Instead, she chose to respond by going off in different directions, but when “cornered”, asked Ms. Carlson if she had ever denounced any uncivil remarks made by members of the Tea Party.
Over the August recess, Democrat legislators, unable to brag about President Obama’s performance, endured excoriating questions about jobs and unemployment. In true liberal fashion, they rose their ire toward the Tea Party movement, to make them the “scapegoat de jour” for the incredibly expensive, failed libereal policies, implemented by the most liberal, and least experienced President in U.S. history, Barak H. Obama.
Such anger was particularly pointed at the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC), whose members were being virtually brutalized back home by their constituency, who are largely urban dwelling, and suffering a 42% youth unemployment rate, a 24% poverty rate, and a 16.8% general unemployment rate, as of the July figures.
(These CBC legislators do not want to their constituency to know that since Congress passed the minimum wage rate increase to $7.25, that the “youth job market”–typically fast food restaurants and retail stores–has collapsed, which is one of the primary reasons for the 42% black youth unemployment rate.)
Many CBC members took to the podium in a press conference to “bash” President Obama publicly, beginning with Rep. Emanuel Cleaver (D-IL) who claimed the debt-ceiling deal was a “Satin Sandwich”, which “unfairly harms African-Americans”; followed by Rep. John Conyers (D-MI), who was quoted as saying … “we want him to know…we’ve had it [with being ignored];” and, last but certainly not least Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA), who now famously shouted to a [small] crowd at a jobs event in California:
“The Tea Party can go to hell!”
However, in absolute contradiction of the above, as Rep. Maxine Waters said in our prior article, the black community cannot afford to come down too hard on him and his failed policies. Incredibly, as 90% of blacks polled still support Barak Obama and think he is doing a good job.
Finally, according to an article by Judson Berger on FOXNews.com, more recently Rep. Andre Carson (D-IN), stepped way out on the racial plank, when he said that:
Tea Partiers would love to see blacks hanging from a tree.
and he further implies that the Tea Party is “stopping change”…and “remenicent” of the “Jim Crow” era in American history.
Unfortunately, Rep. Carson’s aspirtions are totally, and embarassingly for him, contrary to American history. It was actually the then “Democrat Party” in the South, that performed all of these indignations against blacks; and actually the then “Republican Party” in the north, which, in addition to “freeing” the slaves via the American Civil War, also stood “shoulder-to-shoulder” with blacks during the civil rights movement.
And, worse yet for Mr. Carson–Martin Luther King was a Republican.
The classic liberal “blame game” is contradicted by fact and history.
Unions “forced” manufacturing to be off-shored to other lower cost countries, by pricing themselves our of the market; not only in dollar terms of wages and benefits, but also outdated, inefficient work rules and the regular threat of strikes, which have destroyed some major companies, like Eastern Airlines.
Unions do not create new jobs, only business owners do–with small businesses accounting for the vast majority.
How will this obvious “hate speech” affect any Republican’s prospects for election or re-election?
At worst, it will not affect their prospects whatsoever.
As Gov. Rick Perry (R-TX)–Republican Presidential candidate said recently, the Democrat voter base who would be “motivated” by this type of class warefare and racially-dividing speech, will never, ever vote Republican–so ignore them.
At best, this type of virolent speech and attitude is exactly what turns off Independent voters; who, in addition to moderate Democrats, are showing up in the Republican polling “camps” with greater frequency. Recent Rassmussen polling supports this, showing that a generic Republican candidate would beat Obama 49% to 41%, and Gov. Rick Perry would win over Obama by 44% to 41%, if the election were held today.
Democrats are only hurting themselves by this outrageous conduct–proving there is social justice in America.
