Ever walk pass an iHome machine and wish they made Android devices that were similar? Ever want to take a small radio out to play music from your Droid phone? Well do I have some accessories for you!
So with my iPod I use to love my iHome because it was a clock, alarm, radio and it could play music from my iPod. Well Philips has created some beautiful Android Accessory starters (and I say starters because there has got to be more to come.
The series named Fodelio is manufactured by Philips and was introduced at IFA 2011. These new docking speakers for Android works with both smartphones and tablets. There are three different models,(the AS851, AS351 and AS111) with a dedicated Android app available in the Market. The app allows you to even connect wirelessly via Bluetooth. Pricing on Amazon for the AS351 and AS851 range in price from $132.50 – $208.00. No date on the availability.
I believe they described it best:
“The Fidelio for Android range includes the following devices:
The clean lines of the curved back on the Fidelio for Android (AS851) not only looks remarkable, but also creates a more effective structure for acoustics and precisely tuned bass pipes for deep, tight bass reproduction so you’ll experience a superb crystal-clear sound. This model comes with Philips Digital sound processing for lifelike, distortion-less music and 30W RMS total output power.
This slightly smaller Fidelio for Android (AS351) will give you the right sound at home and on the go. With the option to choose between battery and AC power, you can enjoy your music anywhere. This model offers Dynamic Bass Boost to preserve low tones for deep bass at any volume level and comes with 10W RMS total output power. A special shielding technology blocks mobile phone interference whilst the AUX-in at the back side of the device means you can connect almost any electronic device.
The third model in the range, the Fidelio for Android (AS111) comes in an elegant and compact design that looks gorgeous from every angle and fits onto every bedside table. Its 360-degree design gives a rich omni-directional sound to fill your bedroom, whilst neodymium speakers deliver a pure balanced sound so you can wake up to a great sound from your Android phone.”
The systems come with several notable features:
- Flexidock – a multi direction, portrait, landscape micro USB connector. You can see if your phone is compatible and how it works here: www.philips.com/flexidock
- Auto Clock Synchronization with your Android device
- Ability to charge more than one mobile device
- Stereo Sound
- Dynamic Bass Boost
- Digital Sound Processing
- Choice between AC or battery powering
This works with Tune In Radio but if it also works with Google Music Beta, Pandora, Spotify and other music streaming programs, we have a dynamo on our hands.
