Inaugural Crested Butte Film Festival Kicks Off

Hooray, Crested Butte kicks off their first film festival today!

Kicking off today, Thursday, September 29th and running thru Sunday, October 2nd, the inaugural film festival welcomes novice and veteran cinephiles to enjoy the art of film set amidst the stunning backdrop of Crested Butte.

From opening feature film Dudamel Let the Children Play to closing night film I Am, the fest includes a unique and varied array of short and feature length films, documentaries, receptions and parties, a childrens’ film program, and filmmaker Q&As.

With over 58 films being screened, 5 from Colorado (Third Bridge, Crustacean Crisis, American Outrage, From the Ground Up, andBag It), Crested Butte Film Festival hosts a number of fantastic independent films and filmmakers.

This is a great opportunity for cinephiles in Colorado to celebrate and support independent filmmaking. Congratulations are in order to all the films chosen to be featured at this year’s fest, and to Crested Butte for organizing their own festival.This cinephile wishing them the best of luck and hopes to hear of this annual fest for years to come!
