“It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” co-stars Kaitlin Olson (Sweet Dee) and Rob McElhenney (Mac), who married in 2008, are expecting their second baby boy this spring, the couple told People Thursday (October 27). The actors’ first son, Axel Lee, was born in September.
“We found out I was pregnant during my mom’s birthday weekend in Ojai,” Olson told the magazine. “I was instantly so proud of this baby for already knowing how to make someone else’s special day all about him.”
She added: “We’re so happy that Axel gets to have a brother so close in age. And that I get to add another set of balls to my very, very male world.”
Olson, 36, and McElhenney, 34, aren’t the only “It’s Always Sunny” stars with a growing family. Charlie Day and Mary Elizabeth Ellis (The Waitress) are expecting their first child this December, while Glenn Howerton (Dennis) and David Hornsby (Rickety Cricket) each welcomed sons in September.
Before “Sunny,” Olson appeared on “Curb Your Enthusiasm” and “The Riches,” while McElhenney had a small role on “Lost.”
No word yet on whether Olson’s pregnancy will be written into the show like last season.
“It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” Season 7 continues Thursdays at 10/9c on FX.
