Jordan Pellerin scored 171 goals in her high school career. She was a two-time all american during her time at Waterville high school.
Pellerin continued her success at the University of Maine. On Wednesday afternoon, Pellerin was named to the America East All-Rookie Team. Pellerin knows she needs to continue to work hard to be successful at the highest level.
“Just try and get better everyday. even though I am in college,” Pellerin said, “I can still keep getting better I am not just going to coast.”
She led the team in assists with four. Pellerin assisted on the game-winning goal in Maine’s 1-0 victory over Rhode Island on September 11th.
Pellerin proved she can succeed at the division one level. The speed of the game was a big adjustment from the high school level. She knows to continue to compete at that level she has plenty to work on. That is exactly what she will do.
Pellerin said the biggest difference at the college level was, “the speed of play, and how I couldn’t just do whatever I wanted to anymore on the field. I had to get better technically and I still need to get a lot stronger during off season.”
