Queen Latifah pretty much was the face of the People’s Choice Awards. The high profile actress has been involved as the host of the People’s Choice Awards over the past few years and she did a great job. For those hoping she would return to the stage, disappointment set in when Kaley Cuoco was announced as the 2012 People’s Choice Award host on Thursday afternoon
If this host sounds familiar, then the television must have been on during the Teen Choice Awards 2011 earlier this year. Barely noticed at that award show as she couldn’t take control of the audience, it was a worse job than James Franco’s debut as host for the Academy Awards. It appears the promotion did come from her resume qualities, so maybe nobody at the People’s Choice Award watched the show.
Queen Latifah gave the show personality. She gave it spunk and shared the connection that made the people want to vote to help decide the best according to the fans across the country. With record high voting last year Kaley Cuoco has to bring her best to the stage otherwise it will be another dismal failure like the Teen Choice Awards. As for Queen Latifah, the fans will be missing her presence on the show for sure.
