Since 1971, the masked heroes known as the Kamen Riders have defended the world from the forces of evil. Shotaro Ishinomori created the legacy of heroes that continues to this day.
Since 2009, the legions of Riders have fought in the Kamen Rider Climax Heroes series of fighting games. Having started on the PlayStation 2 featuring Kamen Rider Decade, the game moved to the Wii for Climax Heroes W (and focused on Kamen Rider W, while adding new heroes to this mix). This game was heavily modified to focus on characters from Kamen Rider Dragon Knight, and was released titled as such in America. Last year, the focus rightly moved to Kamen Rider OOOs and was released as Kamen Rider Climax Heroes OOO, adding all the American-exclusive game Riders alongside more, on top of a PSP iteration.
For 2011, it’s going through the same motions, but adding a little flair for the 40th anniversary of the franchise. Kamen Rider Fourze may star in Kamen Rider Climax Heroes Fourze for the Wii and PSP, but the additions of starring Kamen Riders 1, 2, V3, Amazon, Black, Black RX, the villainous Shadowmoon, and the supporting Birth and Birth Prototype to the battle. New forms are added to Kamen Rider OOO as well; with his series finished, they could include the final forms. Finally, a tag-team mode has been added; no word on Double Rider Kicks.
For 6280 yen, the game will be released on December 1st. A trailer featuring the new characters has been revealed.
