There are many stigmas associated with the lifestyle of the college student. The very idea that they are out of their parents sight entices many young people to try some things they never thought they would get the chance to try, things that would surprise their parents, that they even chanced trying it.
We’ve all seen popular movies showing college as an introduction to alcohol, drugs, pre-marital sex. It’s presented as wild, fun, and good times.
As parents and their teenagers search different colleges, many parents ask “Is there a college I can send my son/daughter to, that would encourage the Biblical standards we’ve taught our him/her?”.
Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary which started in 1957, is such a college. Director of Communications, Pat Hudson says the school offers a range of degrees from associates to doctorials in various disciplines and the mission is to serve the church by biblically educating God-called men and women to be, and make disciples of, Jesus Christ. The school favors 2 Cor 5:18-20 as it’s Mission verse.
Scholarships are available and students can file for financial aid on campus.
Mr. Hudson says the school has a family atmosphere where the students, faculty, and staff, all join together to further the ministry and cause of Jesus Christ. One thing he points out is the diversity of the faculty, offering the students unique viewpoints in education, making the student well rounded and capable to serve in different forms of ministry when they go out into the field.
The campus is a state of the art facility, and an incredible place to study, sitting on 100 plus acres of wooded property, creating a peaceful and inspiring environment. It’s an incredible place to study, knowing that the God who created all this beauty, is the One you are studying to take and share with others.
Visitors are always welcome to the campus to tour, sit in on classes and take part in events. Visit the website for more information.
