For the first time, legendary CNN host Larry King is speaking out about being a victim in Bernie Madoff’s infamous ponzi scheme — and he had some rather interesting things to say in the wake of Ruth Madoff’s interview with “60 Minutes.”
Speaking to “Extra,” Larry said that his wife Shawn Southwick actually wanted him to invest more money than the $700,000 that he did in the scheme — but he ended up backing away:
“We didn’t. We stayed with our investment people, thank God. I should feel some bitterness, although I got my money back.”
As for how Larry got the money back, he says that it was a combination of such things as getting money from Madoff’s estate alongside $500,000 in tax credits from his stock.
