A last minute Halloween costume idea that’s quick, easy and really cheap to make, but will still send you out on Halloween with a top notch costume! This year’s costume favorites come right out of the movies and TV shows with the zombie craze. It’s easy to make and you probably have most of the makings of a zombie Halloween costume around the house, according to the website The Oracle.
Clothes: To get into the “Walking Dead” zombie craze, just rip up some loose fitting light color clothes and stain them with different strengths of tea. Add some red food coloring into the mix to create some real looking blood and scatter this in spots throughout your clothes. Let this air dry so it will wrinkle.
Dead Face: Next the make-up is white face foundation first, which is found at any Halloween section in a drug store or Halloween store. And go on to the dead skn recipe to finish the face make-up.
Dead Skin: For the textured dead skin, mix up some flour and water to a thick pancake mix consistency and spread this in spots around your face and any exposed skin on your arms and legs and hands. When this dries in a few minutes, it will cake up and become flaky like dead skin.
Dead Eyes: Use the black face make-up that comes in a crayon type tube to add some darkness around your eyes and mouth. Again you can get black face paint anywhere Halloween stuff is sold.
Dead Hair: This is another easy technique using powder or flour, which ever you have on hand. Use a sticky hair spray like Aquanet and flip your head down so your hair is sticking up and spray it. Let it dry for a few minutes that sprinkle flour or powder all through your hair until it looks dull and white. Keep your hair messy and spray it again with hair spray. You now have dead zombie hair!
Fake Blood: (Optional) Here is a recipe for fake blood at The Oracle, in case you want some dripping effects.
