Lights On San Diego Red Carpet Event at Eden
The Lights On San Diego and Red Carpet Event was held at Eden On Thursday night September 29th, hosted by VERB Entertainment Group (Michelle Renee and Chrissy Mulder). The evening featured Live performances by Farrowtone, DJ Kurch, and Justice. A treat table with cupcakes by California Dreamin’ Cupcake Company sweetened up the night which was created to support Being Alive San Diego (an organization that supports and offers services to persons affected by HIV/AIDS).
Who would not like to be treated like a Star and take a spin on the red carpet? If you stopped by the Lights On San Diego event you were offered the chance to do just that. Getting a photo of you and your group or with the entertainment of the evening was just the beginning for this event. After a free lollypop from the “Candy Girls” you could treat yourself to a cupcake from California Dreamin’ Cupcake Company. This mother daughter duo (Debra Balsley and Yvonee Syirek) out of Calabasas, CA, created sinfully sweet red velvet cupcakes to support this event.
The exciment did not end there. Once you had your red carpet experience out front you entered Eden to hits being spun by DJ Kurch. Kurch rocked it out warming up the crowd for the next 2 acts (Justice and headliner Farrowtone). Justice had an enormous stage presence and when she began to sing her voice was powerful and strong. She had a guest rapper and dancers giving her set an extra kick. Farrowtone, the headliner came out strong performing his new hit song “Just Let Go” (now available on iTunes). As always he put on a stellar performances and kept the crowd engaged. As an unsigned artist, Farrowtone can be very proud that his previous song “Bedroom” made it to number 8 on the Adult Contemporary charts. Not an easy thing to for any artist, especially when competing with music industry label giants like Katy Perry. Eric Ronald Kandell was also on hand at the event. Actor, model, and charity spokesperson Kandell was there to support this amazing event. Kandell can be seen doing his thing on the cat walk or on CSI. Lights on San Diego could not have been possible without their sponsors, Caelum Entrainment, 42 Below Vodka, Starry Eyed Music, TLC Solutions, Rock You Style Eden, Michael’s, and JM West all supported this event.
The night was a success and in the end it was a night to give back to an organization that needs community help to make it. With 1050 people using the services of Being Alive San Diego they need help to fulfill their mission. The organization has been around since 1989 and is still going strong. However, they could not have made it this far without volunteers, and financial help from the community. VERB Entertainment will be out and about in San Diego doing their thing creating events to support the community. Check them out to see how you can get involved.
