Dreamhouse Country Inn, Bristol, VT:Located roughly 3 hours from Boston and just a few minutes from Bristol, Middlebury, Vergennes and Mad River Glen this inn features beautifully decorated rooms, private baths, luxury bedding and free wi-fi. All natural cleaning products keep room spotless and fresh, with a bit of a smaller footprint and local foods featured at breakfast support area farmers.. Built in 1852, Dreamhouse Country Inn is on Vermont’s Historic Register, offering one of the finest examples of Gothic Cottage architecture in the state. Nestled in the middle of 6.5 acres of pastoral beauty, it is surrounded by perennial gardens, maple groves, an apple orchard, berry bushes and a rambling old stone wall. Six Chimneys and a Dream B&B, Hebron, NH:Welcoming weary and hungry travelers since stagecoaches rambled by in the early 1800’s this inn is located on 2.5 acres with lovely gardens, a view of the surrounding mountains, and an easy walk to nearby Newfound Lake. Enjoy the nearby offerings of both New Hampshire’s Lakes Region and the White Mountains. Large, comfortable bedrooms, welcoming common rooms with decorations reminiscent of yesteryear, and relaxed conversation with a personable hostess await. A Little Dream B&B, Camden, ME: Sweet dreams and little luxuries abound in this white Victorian with its wicker and flower filled wrap-around porch set just a short stroll from Camden’s shops, restaurants and harbor. Set on two acres of rolling lawns and lovely perennial gardens, the inn overlooks two small castles with distant views of Penobscot Bay. Thoughtfully appointed rooms, with private baths, have a private deck, view, or fireplace. All have special touches such as imported soaps and chocolates and a gourmet-lover’s breakfast. Dream Cottage at Sugar Hill Inn, Sugar Hill, NH: Living up to its namesake, the Dream Cottage at the Sugar Hill Inn is among my top five favorite guest accommodations at any B&B in the United States, and just over 2.5 hours from Boston. This cottage was recently renovated and outfitted with everything from a deep whirlpool tub to a private sauna (basically your own private spa), a private porch with mountain views and sumptuous king size bed. A stone fireplace, flat screen TV visible from the bed and whirlpool, wet bar and tons of space to spread out, not to mention gorgeous décor adds to the dreamy setting. Oversized windows mean it’s light and bright and tall cathedral ceilings add to the feel of spaciousness. http://sugarhillinn.com/rooms-rates/dream-cottage/, 603-548-4748.
