With school back in session, there’s no shortage of extracurricular activities available. However, not many of them are enriching, fun, educational and challenging at the same time.
Enter Destination ImagiNation.
A non-profit organization that provides students an opportunity to learn and experience creativity, teamwork and problem solving, Destination ImagiNation is offered through most area schools.
Students work in teams to solve mind-bending challenges and present their solutions at tournaments, and several Fresno-Clovis teams excelled last year at the statewide competition in Oakhurst, including the Ramtastic Boys from Riverview Elementary, RiDIculous Gray Matter from Bud Rank Elementary, and DI Seven from Valley Oak Elementary.
At tournaments, teams are tested to think on their feet, work together and devise original solutions that satisfy the requirements of the challenges.
Participants gain more than just basic knowledge and skills—they learn to unleash their imaginations and take unique approaches to problem solving.
