Love horror movies and live in Southern Mississippi? If you haven’t made it out to any good Halloween attractions this year and want an adrenaline rush, try the Terror Test, located in the tiny town of Lumberton.
How to make a great horror movie
The Terror Test is a haunted house attraction that features monster frightening enough to satisfy even the most hardcore of horror fans. It is ranked as the # 1 haunted house in Mississippi and one of the top 13 in the United States. Hattiesburg TV station WDAM says you will ask yourself “Is someone REALLY being put through terror right in front of my eyes and I’m part of a real-life horror movie and don’t even know it?” It has also gotten positive reviews from journalists in Pensacola and even Las Vegas. Not bad for a little warehouse in a little town even many Mississippi residents have never heard of.
The attraction begins outdoors just after dark, so be sure to dress warmly. You’ll meet numerous monsters as you trek through a grassy maze and later make your way indoors to meet everyone’s favorite monster, the flesh eating zombies. No more spoilers, though; go and check it out for yourself. If you love horror movies, you’re guaranteed to enjoy this one.
Horror movies set in the South
The Terror Test is located at 31 Industrial Pkwy Road in Lumberton, Mississippi. It will be open for one more weekend in October (until next year, anyway), so go while you can. Tickets are $15 and VIP tickets, which allow you early entrance and to skip to the front of the line, are $25. For more information, visit their official website and plan to attend to get a taste of what the South has to offer.
