TRINITY — An open house is scheduled at the Medical Center of Trinity on Saturday, Nov. 19, from Noon to 4 p.m. The new facility is at 9330 State Road 54, 34655.
“It’s a celebration,” organizers said, adding that there will be “full facility tours, along with fun for the entire family.”
Fun features include bounce houses, barbecue, Radio Disney’s Road Crew and more.

According to Lend Lease, which managed the construction of the new 236-bed facility, the medical center will provide care for the New Port Richey region, as well as Pasco, Hillsborough and Pinellas counties.
The five-story, 400,000-square-foot hospital has a four-story, 90,000-square-foot attached medical office building. The center sits on a 55-acre green field site, located on the south side of State Road 54, just east of Mitchell Ranch Plaza and west of Long Leaf.
According to officials, the full-service medical center will provide a 24-hour emergency department with 30 examination rooms and 10 observation beds.
There are two entrances:
- One for walk-in emergency patients; and,
- One exclusively for ambulances and emergency vehicles.
There is also a heliport, adjacent to the ambulance entrance.
The medical center will also provide diagnostic imaging, radiology, surgery, oncology, orthopedics, neurosurgery, cardiology and cardiovascular services, joint replacement and spine care, urology, endoscopy, pain management, and respiratory and rehabilitation therapy.
Women’s Services include gynecology and obstetrics services, which include labor, delivery, recovery, postpartum rooms; a baby nursery, cesarean delivery suite, private gynecology suite, and a diagnostic and wellness area, officials said.
The facility features:
- Eight operating rooms,
- A 12-bed post-anesthetic care unit,
- Two endoscopy rooms,
- 28 outpatient preparation rooms,
- 34 critical-care rooms,
- A central nursing station, and,
- Two nursing “substations.”
Nursing work areas will have direct visual access to patients; all patient rooms are private, complete with bathrooms, and hallways and elevators dedicated to “patient-only” use.
“Each (patient room) comes with a restroom, shower, 32-inch flat panel, high-definition television, Internet access, ample storage and plenty of room for visiting family, friends and loved ones,” officials said.
